The Winners of the 2014 Lauderhill College Essay Scholarships

At April 28th Commission Meeting, checks will be presented to the winners of the 2014 Lauderhill College Essay Scholarship.  Lauderhill residents which are Seniors in High School going on to College or Vocational School applied by answer two 500 word essays:

1. What would be the best way to end bullying in school?
2. Describe your favorite fictional literary character and what draws you to that character.

Funding for this program was provided by Florida Medical Center and Prestige Auto Wash.

1^st – Marina Braynon-Moore  $500   St. Thomas Aquinas High School

2^nd – Yaseen Omar Ramadan  $300  Piper High School/College Academy

3^rd – Bryce Robinson Burgess  $200  College Academy
